FaceTime Delivers 'IMAuditor Enterprise' for Centralized Control And Management of Instant Messaging in the Enterprise

Solution to Provide Businesses with Detection, Administration, Risk Management, and Reporting of Real-Time Data Flow

FOSTER CITY, Calif., Jan. 27, 2003 -- Furthering its established leadership as the premier provider of enterprise software solutions that enable customers to safely deploy and centrally manage real-time business communications, FaceTime Communications today announced the immediate availability of IMAuditor Enterprise to provide businesses with the ability to centrally manage and control instant messaging communications between employees, partners, and customers without requiring a change to the existing messenger client or IM network community. This next-generation, real-time communications management software solution expands on the rapid market success of FaceTime's IMAuditor product chosen by financial services organizations required by government regulations to track, monitor, and report on their IM communications. IMAuditor Enterprise extends the regulatory compliance workflow features of IMAuditor to provide all IT organizations with centralized detection, administration and reporting for the entire enterprise. This enables businesses to apply the power of real-time communications to critical business processes while managing the information security risks associated with its use.

The robust scalability of IMAuditor Enterprise allows organizations to extend traditional business policies to real-time communications that are otherwise difficult to manage. Advanced Corporate Directory Integration:
IMAuditor Enterprise further simplifies deployment by integrating with corporate directories such as Microsoft Active Directory, Sun ONE Directory and Lotus Domino. This facilitates automated mapping of IM "buddy names" to authenticated employee IDs, significantly reducing the risk of anonymous communications and transfer of confidential information through IM fraud. Microsoft and FaceTime have worked together in the past to deliver enterprise solutions in the areas of call centers, eCRM, helpdesk, and regulatory compliance. FaceTime has been selected as a Microsoft ISV to interface with MSN Messenger Connect to provide advanced security, management, control, logging, auditing and compliance capabilities for all MSN enterprise users. As a result, all of FaceTime's enterprise customers currently utilizing the MSN Messenger network for business will be able to upgrade to the MSN Messenger Connect service.

Local Routing of Public IM Communications:
Communication between employees over public IM networks such as AOL, MSN, and Yahoo! is routed internally over a set of IMAuditor Enterprise servers deployed within the enterprise for complete monitoring and control. This eliminates the risk of sensitive information leaving the corporate network and being exposed outside enterprise walls.

Secure User Authorization:
Enterprises can assign authorization levels to employee IDs to control electronic information flow across business units and corporate ranks. This eliminates the potential risk of unauthorized internal access to confidential information.

Advanced Monitoring and Intercept:
Enterprises can monitor, intercept and report on IM messages based on business policies implemented automatically through a highly sophisticated set of configurations.
