LEGATO Partners With FaceTime to Deliver Enterprise-Class Instant Messaging
Management Solution
FaceTime IMAuditor Enterprise Integrated With LEGATO EmailXtender For
Management of Electronic Communications
FOSTER CITY, Calif., March 12 -- Furthering its established leadership as the
premier provider of enterprise software solutions that enable customers to
safely deploy and centrally manage real-time business communications, FaceTime
Communications today announced they are working with LEGATO Systems, Inc.
(Nasdaq: LGTO) to deliver comprehensive solutions that provide centralized
management control over all business communications conveyed electronically in
the enterprise.
As part of the agreement, LEGATO and FaceTime have integrated FaceTime's
IMAuditor Enterprise with LEGATO's EmailXtender suite to deliver a
behind-the-firewall solution for customers recognizing the need for proper
policy management control over instant messaging (IM) and email communications
across the enterprise.
The combined offering mitigates the information security risks of email and
instant messaging by extending to these business-critical communication
platforms complete, centralized management, control, logging and archiving
capabilities. To accommodate legitimate use of IM for business, FaceTime
provides IT organizations with a single control point from which to manage all
IM user policy standards. Together, FaceTime and LEGATO enable customers to
benefit from the freer flow of and instant access to critical business
intelligence.
"We are excited to work with FaceTime, a market leader in delivering enterprise
software solutions that enable Global 2000 organizations to manage and control
instant messaging," said Greg Clock, vice president, Email Business Unit,
LEGATO Systems. "The integration of our EmailXtender messaging product with
FaceTime's IMAuditor Enterprise provides our customers with a complete, proven
solution that addresses critical messaging management needs."
"FaceTime has attained its leadership position by partnering with premier IM
network and IT infrastructure solution providers to provide customers with the
ability to embrace instant messaging while mitigating the information security
risks associated with its use," said Glen D. Vondrick, FaceTime's President and
CEO. "We are very pleased to be working with technology leader LEGATO Systems
and their channel partners to satisfy strong customer demand for the
centralized archival and storage of all communication conveyed electronically
within and beyond enterprise walls."
IMAuditor Enterprise is a software server solution installed behind enterprise
firewalls to support IM services from the world's leading IM network providers,
