Press Release
FaceTime's Instant Messaging Visionary Jonathan Christensen to Present "Presence, IM, SIP and Standards" at NETWORLD+INTEROP
NETWORLD+INTEROP 2004, Booth #123, Las Vegas, Nev.-May 10, 2004-Furthering its leadership as the world's largest provider of solutions that secure, manage, and extend instant messaging (IM) and other forms of real-time communications in the enterprise, FaceTime Communications today announced its CTO and instant messaging visionary Jonathan Christensen will present "Presence, IM, SIP and Standards" as part of the VoIP and Collaboration Conference at Networld+Interop. The session will take place Wednesday, May 12, at 2:45 in room N251 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Standards such as IP and SIP have paved the way for such integrated collaboration applications, services and technologies as instant messaging and presence awareness, shared workspaces and Web conferencing to help companies become more efficient and productive while lowering costs. How will the different pieces work together? How can enterprises leverage their existing infrastructures? How will they integrate the various components needed for a collaborative experience? Mr. Christensen will discuss where collaboration standards are today, where are they going, and where they need to be in order for real-time communications and collaboration technologies to reach their full potential.
