FaceTime Communications Expands Global Presence and Market Leadership in Record Second Quarter
Key Vertical Markets Fuel Continued Global Growth For Leading Provider of IM Security and Management Solutions
FOSTER CITY, Calif., August 16, 2004 - Furthering its leadership as the premier provider of solutions that secure, manage and extend instant messaging (IM) and peer-to-peer (P2P), FaceTime Communications today announced the company has achieved record sales performance in Q2 in key vertical markets: education, energy, financial services, government, insurance and technology. Leading corporations such as Southern Company, and USAS Technologies, LLC and a second Fortune 500 insurance and finance company are now leveraging FaceTime technology to secure and manage multi-network IM and P2P communications throughout their enterprises. This announcement comes on the heels of attracting $16million in venture capital investments, as well as many new company developments during Q2, its most successful quarter to date. In addition, FaceTime achieved key corporate milestones that position the company for continued market leadership. These milestones include the launch of
IMAuditor 5.0; the introduction of free migration to
IMAuditorTM for all AIM Enterprise Gateway (AIM-EG) and AOL-certified management vendor customers; international expansion including new partnerships in Asia Pacific, (APAC); and the acquisition of an India-based development and quality assurance organization.

In order to meet customers' growing demand for enhanced security, management and compliance solutions FaceTime introduced
IMAuditor 5.0. IMAuditor 5.0 expands on the company's award-winning and market-leading
IMAuditor by integrating with MSN Messenger Connect for Enterprises to extend the enforcement of information security, as well as corporate and regulatory compliance policies to instant messaging occurring among employees, partners and customers outside the corporate network. Additionally,
IMAuditor 5.0 provides anti-virus scanning of file transfers through its integration with Symantec, Network Associates and Trend Micro while delivering EMC Centera support for the central storage and management of IM, email and other electronic data sources.

IMAuditor, FaceTime will continue to offer free technical support for all AIM-EG customers, resellers and partners to protect their existing enterprise IM investments and mitigate the need for immediate migration.
International Expansion
During Q2, FaceTime expanded its global reach with new partnerships in Australia, Japan and Taiwan. Gresham Computing, a leading software systems integrator in Australia; NEC System Technologies LTD., an IT platform software developer, systems integrator and subsidiary of NEC Corporation in Japan; and Solomon Technology Corp., a leading content security solutions distributor (through its System Applications Business Unit) in Taiwan will resell FaceTime's industry-leading solutions in their respective territories where the increasing use of IM and is generating demand for security and compliance solutions that have support for double-byte operating environments.
Indian R&D Organization
The acquisition of a Bangalore, India-based development and quality assurance organization from messaging security solutions provider Tumbleweed Communications will enable FaceTime to leverage more than 50 additional product development resources to rapidly increase product depth, shorten its development cycle and expand its customer support organization.
